Ponchos

Here are the ponchos I made to give as Christmas gifts this year. I recently got a new digital camera. I am still playing with the settings & features on it, so in some of these photos, the light was on, & in some of them, the light was off. Some use the flash & some don’t. They look different from each other, but you will just have to deal with it.

I had already given one away when I took this photo, but as you will see, I really did make 9 ponchos, 2 scarves, 1 pillow & 1 blankey!

As always, click on the pic for a larger, more detailed view!

Detail of the trim. Ain’t it purty?

Polka dots for a three year old:

With a matching scarf, of course:

One for her big sister:

I just LOVE my sewing machine! Check out my awesome stitching:

See the lil pockets at the ends of the scarves? Those are for them to put their cold lil hands in. Everyone say “awwww”! This one is hot pink with purple heart stitching, but the purple color doesn’t seem to be showing up in my photos & I can’t take new photos, since they would be blurry streaks of pink with a three year old running by!

One for a horse fanatic:

She picked this fabric out for herself:

This one had handy (not) cutting lines already printed on the edges. That means I didn’t get to use my super duper cutting ruler & I had to cut the fringe on this one. By hand. With scissors. See?

Another blue flowery one, this time without the border:

These were for 2 baby girls in the same family (thankfully not mine ha!):

I know, they look like pink bats in that picture, but look how fluffy & soft they are & check out my amazing stitches:

And yes, I know how to sew things for boys, too! I did have one on my list this year & I made him this blankey. It has a different fleece fabric on the back, so this picture looks kind of crazy:

Isn’t it super cool? Kong looks so tough, just like the boy I made it for (ok, minus all the fur):

He really is:

And you can’t have a blankey without a pillow to match!

Fabric on the back:

Hope the kids I made these for are enjoying them!
